Madison may have left the city, but since returning to CT there has been no shortage of snacking. To be honest, we were surprised with how much we’ve enjoyed the food so far. Since I have a 4 month old, we mainly do takeout but we have snuck away for a date night in some nearby towns.

We broke it down by category but we know we have so much more eating to do. Please comment your favorite places we should try next!

Dinner Meals:

Restaurant L’Ostal📍Darien

Starting off strong, Restaurant L’Ostal is the spot for a date night or an elevated sit-down dinner. Serving authentic French cuisine, they won our hearts with their homemade gnocchi with crab and perfectly cooked scallop. And don’t skip dessert—their bread pudding is the perfect ending.

Massi Co📍Westport

Massi Co is serving simple & soulful Italian food that is easily shared. With brick-oven pizzas, fresh housemade pastas, and sauces worth building a meal around (order the vodka sauce!), this is a go-to for elevated comfort Italian.

Kawa Ni📍Westport

Many people will say this is the best restaurant in all of Connecticut and we honestly really like it. Asian/Japanese fusion with some great bites. The vibe is cozy almost like a little listening bar or bar you’d find in an alley in Tokyo.
